Okay so again it has been a month or so since I have lost updeated my journal. I could say that I have been busy with the Navy and what not but honestly with the internet service and yes some fualt of mine of neglegence I do take some of the blame.
So a lot has accrued since the last time I have wrote, work has been the same we finished with all the inspection shit in which we as the ship and yes mostly the Engineering department we passed successfully. Other than all of that work has been the same and always will be. With the occasional under ways here and there everything is the same. This next month of March will be different because we will be in and out of port more times then in that we might as well stay out for that month... Thanks command... But this time I am not going to what may seem like complaining about work which is more like an outlet of the thing that bug me about the so called Navy. No this time this post is more on the personal side of things. The title says it, Being side swiped, Being shocked, and now it seems that I am of the path almost like a wrong turn. What occur ed was that I got a notice saying that my grandfather of 71 died Wednesday morning of a massive heart attack. Its hard to believe and still is that a person of his statue, and friendly and lovable character, A Grandfather who taught his family so much in his life and now he is longer with us but in another place of peace. So today instead of morning his life we are celebrating his life and the rememberance of him as a great teacher, a supportive friend, but most of all a great husband to my grandmother, a father of five and a great grandfather.
So I am back in my home state which unexpected to most and even to myself, it has been nice so far to catch up with my girlfriend, which spending time with here has been really nice. I got to surprise some of mine friends which was interesting and Yes I got to see my family which today will be even more interesting later with seeing all of them. But it will be a interesting time tonight.

The days that follow.....
Alright well here I am again thought I would update since I haven't done it for a couple of weeks thanks to my work and the internet not wanting to work. Honestly nothing much has really changed or even happened. Although as far as work goes we finished the hellish week of inspections for the Engineering department. After all the late hours and hard work we did pass. Now that is over this last week has been just working on the improvments needed and things like that. Did a few more drills and things of that nature. Now starting this coming week we have another inspection just as improtant but this time it involves the whole crew. Thats what I am a little worried about because they really don't care about learning or performing the knowledge or shipboard firefighting. Yes it is my job as well and my shops. We are the frist to respond but if shit hits the fan and we all die then that is when the crew has to step in, and if they don't care about it then... well it will be a shame. So all in all we have this inspection and then one more after that and then work ups which is just getting qualified to do what we do. Saddly enough in all actuality it is getting ready for the deployment in the last part of August. In which I will have nothing to do with because I am getting out well before they leave.
Just to add this although I am getting out towards the end of this year a lot is left in the open for me, Yes in a since I will be starting over because of what I want to do, I guess that is a start, at least I am not getting out and have nothing as far as gaols or where to go after that. I am the opposite. I know what I want to do as far as the next steps to take, I do have goals and expetations. First I would like to go to college, just to get what ever basics left, then after that will start on working on the degree I want. Second finding a job either at a fire department or something simular to that either Fed. or state( local) Goals and everything like that I will not say because they could change, not by me but maybe by chance or fate. But I do have sort of mapped out in a figure of speach we shall see what happens. Alright well until next time

Well here I am again writing to those who may read this, I have been gone for the past week on a voyage not so pleasant as say a cruise. In fact it was hellish from the begining, starting with Monday moring, lets see fromt he begining as we were getting ready to leave port we shifted from the shore power to my ships power and again lost power. However this time it wasn't for long, probably for about ten minutes or so. Not bad, anyway we get out to sea and we beigin right off the top with drills in fact two of them that probably lasted three hours each. It wouldn't be so bad if they could make up there mind on when to start them.... Also and the biggest one is it wouldn't be so bad again if we had the crew of the ship actaully care about learning what is required and acting on it. What I (we teach) in my rate helps to safe the ship in case their is an event of a major fire or flood or what ever may occur. But they don't, so for the first two days I did a lot of yelling trying to get some of them right in the head for the mission at hand. The whole reason for us being out there is to get ready for the big wigs or inspectors who are coming down this week to inspect us on weather or not we can certify on getting underway. The rest of the days pretty much followed the same. Long hours of work and drills and very little sleep.
I shouldn't really complain and really I am not, I shouldn't really be worrying because I am getting short, meaning I am almost out as far as the Navy is concern. The only reason why I guess I care is because if we do not pass the inspections my free time will not be so much free in fact it wil be very little and a lot more work. Again I shouldn't be to worried in which I am not. I am getting out very soon, in fact 8 months and I am free in a since. I can actaully begin my life. and so far I think I am on the right path. I still have an amazing girlfriend in which I love very much and hope to stay with her. I hope to start college as well and in betwen fine a good paying job. Not to mention my other goals like moving out of my parents house, taking a cruise with my girl, and then everyting there fate shall decide. I hope that with me getting out of the Military things will look up not that they are not now but just the fact that I hope to regain the things I have missed out on for so long. catch up to what is going on as far as family and friends and even the surrounding area of home. To become much more part of my girlfriend's life then what I am now. to do more with her instead of planning trips to see each other which has been great but can get stresful. Instead it can become much more. I think that is what I am so excited about. Yes there is family and what not but mostly it is being able to spend the time with her to actaully and truly be there for her. For her to actually have someone to talk to.
Okay well this will end here for now but I will update again soon and continue to update more often for this will be an opened journal in a since so those who want to read can and will then have an idea of what life is for me thus far. So until next time....

The begining of a new year
So the begining of this new year was great Sonya my girlfriend came down on the 28th which we chilled the first night although we did go to the beach. The 29th was about the same but it was nice and relaxing. the 30th Sonya and I drove down to her aunt's house down in Milborne. I let her drive which was interesting but she did good. We got there and shilled there for a bit then we went to the swap meet to do some shopping. Afterwards we went to her uncle's work. We went back to her house and shilled, played cards which was funny as hell because the two games that I did play I both won. :) the next day New year's we both went to Universal Studios in which we had a blast and got soak and wet in one way the one, We rode a couple of water rides which was awsome but of course it was raining throughout the day and part of the night. We also went on the other rides as well. the rain did not stop us little lone all the other people. That night after we got the hotel and got something to eat we went back to Universal for the festivities of New Year's eve. All of it was awsome we got to see both the Forengner's and B-52's. But then after we brought the new year in with fireworks and a toast to the new year we went to one of the many clubs/bars to do some dancing and what not. That whole day and night was a blast! The following day after we checked out of the hotel we went to do some shopping and we started back up north to base. When we got we went to the beach and then ordered pizza. We chilled the rest of the night as well and the following day. Thursday we went to a movie and then dinner afterwards we chilled the rest of the night which the next morning was the sad departure when I took my girlfriend Sonya to the airport. The whole time that she was down here was awsome and it really meant a lot to me.
The second part of the beging of the new is that soon I am getting of the military and begining a new start as far as education and career. I am excited for this but I am also excited for my girlfriend because she gratuates this year from college and to start the career in Nursing. With the new and exciting changes I do hope that whatever fate has in store I hope our realtionship will continue and we can both be together and maybe even start living together. I truely do love her and she means a lot to me.

I'm Back and more
Okay its been a while since I have updated my posts so I thought I would finally take the time to write an updated blog. To begin I am back from my long and dragged out deployment in the Med. in which it was more political than anything where we were attached to the NATO forces for about four months. I did get to see a lot of places though which were all unique in there own way. Some really awsome places that I do have to mention are Rome, Italy, Mykonos, Greece, and my favorite out of all the places is Palma, Spain. Out of these I would more likely would vist Palma and or Mykonos, of course not on the Navy's terms. And I would like travel Europe for like a month or some going all over starting North and ending South somewhere.
Okay so now I am back in the U.S and have been since the 16th of September, I went back home where I visited my wonderful girlfriend and of course my family. I got to spend some much need time with her going up intot he mountains twice, once camping but only for one night because of the time limitations (thanks Navy) and then we went four wheeling one afternoon. Which was also awsome. Spent some time witht the family catching up in all the I missed like for one my mom's car being stolen the day after I arrived... hmm yeah so that was interesting but all in all it worked out in the long run. All of this was short lived because I had to get back to the Navy, yeah for me. I really hate... really hate the fact that although I am only like six states away I have to have permission to go home and even then its counted down like some big time clock.
So here I sit and though it has been siven months since I last updated this it seems like I am back doing the same thing day in and day out as I was before I leaved for my wonderful deployment. However I feel like I have a fire within me and thanks to my girlfriend helping me realize what I need to do in the near future I am now but slowly getting started on my next career or what I really should have done in the first place which is college and also getting thing lined up for my job which will hopfully be a firefighter\EMT. I have a lot to thank her for because I now have something more to look forward to in the future. Having her in my life and soon getting out of the Navy which has been quickly becoming a dead end so getting out I would have the freedom to get the actual job I want.
People say that the Navy is what you make of it, I thought that was right at first and being over in Japan for the time I was I took that advice but now that I realized and woke up from all of that I now see that there is much, much more to life than this, One the freedom to live.... ( yeah non military) two I have such a wonderful girlfriend that I love and chersih and whom I want to be with, I think we are doing good so far being that I have been with her for almost two years my longest relationship ever. Three, being away from my family Ihave missed so much out of there lives that I don't even begin, I feel like I have abandon them because of the since of responsiblity that I left behind. Yes some told me that I chose this fate and like my father said we have to live our lives. Yes true to all but we can change what we have started for the better and that is what I plan on doing.
Okay more to come......

Day before leaving the ones I love.
This is the day before I depart, Stating tomorrow afternoon I will be leaving the ones I love. I will be deployed for six months. As much as it may sound fun to see the new countries and seeing the different cultures. I am honestly dreading the trip. The long hours of work, watches, and very little sleep. But most of all I will be mising my family and my wonderful girlfriend. Which our relationship has been the most amazing experience I have known. The connection between us, the feelings and the things we have in common. I have so much love for her. And to leave her for this stupid deployment I feel like in a since I am abondoning her. Although right now we are in a long distance relationship, which is okay I guess but it still sucks because I am not with her as much as I would like to be. Although in a good way she can finish her school with little interuptions and I can finish what I am doing now. I am also going to miss my family and what they are going though in there lives yet again. However in a since they are use to me being gone because I was over in Japan for three years and some months. So I am not to worried about that. Leaving my girl is killing me inside, but I can't do anything about it because it is the military. :( The only thing that I can think of that will a good thing about being deployed is that yes I get to see other countries, I will be saving money like crazy.
One thing I can say about me being gone for this long period is that it will be a test for us. And I think after I get back Our relationship will be stronger between each other in which that is what I want the most. For us to be together and continue to grow our relationship.
